More Warm Cocktail Recipes

Be careful.. HOT!!!

When serving warm cocktails there are a few things to remember:

  • Use heat resistant glasses
  • Wrap a bar cloth or towel around the shaker before you pick it up
  • Rinse the glasses or mugs first with hot water, so that the cocktail will remain warm longer
  • use coasters to prevent permanent stains.

Irish Coffee

This cocktail, because that is what it is, no matter how many times it gets listed as a dessert, can be enjoyed with a straw, which you can slide through the different layers.

Put in a thick glass or a glass with a handle:

2/10 Irish Whiskey
8/10 hot black coffee with sugar

Cover with a layer of cream and serve immediately (with or without the straw).

Ski Bunny

Put in a Pan:

2,5 dl. Beer
2 cl. Cognac
4 cl. Gin or Schnapps
a pinch of Cinnamon
a pinch of graded ginger

Warm over low heat. Stir 3 eggs in a heat resistant bowl and add the mixture, while stirring. Serve in heat resistant glasses with a string of lemon skin.

Stir and cover with a layer of cream

 

the Grog

drink as hot as possible. 'even if the grog doesn't kill the bacteria right away, if will triumph eventually', is an old saying. This doesn't mean that you can only drink Grog when you're sick..

Use a glass with handle or a mug and add:

4 cl. Rum (amber)
1 lump of sugarcane sugar
2 Cloves
the Juice of half a lemon
1 pinch of Cinnamon

Add boiling water and serve with a warning: HOT!

Creole Verbana

Use a glass with handle or a mug filled with boiling water and let a bag with Verbana steep in it.

Remove the bag and add:

the juice of 1 lemon
2 cl. Rum
2 tsp. sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon

Stir well and serve Hot.

Green Coffee

an original 'after-dinner' thanks to the mixture of mint and coffee.

Use a glass with handle or a mug.

6/10 hot, very strong, coffee
2/10 peppermint liqueur (Crème de menthe)
2/10 cream

Stir and cover with a layer of cream

Hot Bishop

An english Grog made to make the moist and cold autumn night more bearable.

Place in a pan:

2 dl water
1 tblsp sugar
2 cloves
1 pinch cinnamon

Heat and condense to 50%. Next, add 2 dl Ruby Port and stir while heating. Just before it reaches the boiling point, pour the mixture into a glass with handle or mug and add 2 cl. Cognac and the juice of 1/2 lemon. Serve with a slice of lemon.

 

Vallée d'Auge

As Normandic as it gets: Milk with Calvados.

Put in a pan:

8/10 Milk
2/10 Calvados

Heat to just before boiling. Add 1 tsp. sugar and battered egg yellow. Stir well and serve in a mug or glass with a handle. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and decorate with a slice of apple.

Night Cap

sweet dreams, or not just yet?

Pour in a pan:

2,5 dl. Beer
4 cl. Whiskey
1 tsp. cocoa powder

Heat to just before boiling. Add a pre-made mixture of 2 tsp. sugar and battered egg yellow of 2 eggs. Stir well until the blend turns to cream and serve in a mug or glass with a handle. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and decorate with a slice of lemon.
