More Rum Cocktail Recipes
Punch, typically english
It were the English that made these inviting cocktails, which are indispensable at parties and receptions, popular. These punch cocktails separate themselves from other cocktails by their basic ingredients (Rum and / or Wine), but more so because of the large quantities in which they are made and the large coupes in which they are served.
Mai Tai
Long drink: at any time.
Put in an old fashioned glass with ice:
2/10 Bacardi
2/10 Brown Rum
2/10 Blue Curaçao
2/10 lime juice
1/10 Orgeade
1/10 Sugar Cane Syrup
Stir well and add a strip of lime skin before serving.

Grey Cat
A refreshing short drink that is best to drink it as a digestif.
Put in a shaker half full of ice:
6/10 White Rum
2/10 Coffee Liqueur
2/10 Mint Liqueur
Shake well and serve in chilled cocktail glasses. Decorate with some grated chocolate. |

Cavalieri
This soft and refreshing long drink doesn't contain much alcohol and can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
Fill a shaker half full with ice cubes and add:
1/10 White Rum
1/10 grand marnier
2/10 Dry Vermouth
6/10 Strawberry sauce or juice
Shake and pour in large tumbler glasses. Top off with Ginger Ale or Tonic. |
Antigua
For 30 persons!
Put in a large bowl that is filled with dozens of ice cubes:
1 bottle of Amber Colored Rum
5 dl. strong, cooled black Tea
4 liter Grapefruit Juice
5 dl. Lemon Juice
10 tbsp. Sugar
Stir well and serve with ice cubes in the punch glasses. |
Pêcheur
For 12 persons!
Put in a big bowl:
Juice of 5 lemons
1/2 Bottle of Cognac
1/4 White Rum
1/4 Peach Liqueur
add sugar cane syrup, 2 bottles of mineral water and ice cubes while stirring. |
Golden Rum
For 30 persons!
Put in a large bowl wit ice:
1 bottle of Amber Rum
2 dl Apricot Liqueur
5 dl Grapefruit juice
2,5 dl Pineapple juice
2,5 dl Lemon Juice
Stir and store cold. Just before serving, add fresh fruit (pineapple and oranges) and between 1/2 and 1 liter of soda water. Serve in Tumbler glasses with a straw. |

Indiana
For 10 persons!
Boil the skins of 3 lemons 20 minutes in water. Add 5 dl. boiling black tea. Sieve and let it cool down. Place the mixture in a large bowl and add:
2 dl white Rum
2,5 dl pineapple juice
5 dl Orange Juice
juice of 3 lemons
Stir and store cold. Serve in glasses with ice cubes. |
Pirate
For 20 persons!
Put in a large bowl:
1 liter White Rum
1/2 Bottle dry white wine
5 dl. Orange Juice
2,5 dl. Lemon Juice
300 gram Pineapple parts
2 vanilla sticks
Bring to taste with cinnamon and meg nut and let it cool for at least 4 hours. Decorate glasses with slices of lemon and orange.
